Having been invited to make a major work in stone Archer joined nine other sculptors from Germany and around the world for the 'second' symposium to be held in Oggleshausen. The first in 1969/70 was one of the first sculpture symposia to be held and was partly organised by the well known German sculptor Karl Prantl. To celebrate the30th anniversary of this important event and millenium, the town of Oggleshausen, led by the Burgermeister Alois Vangel arranged a second symposium.

Archer spent a month living and working in the town and completed a major work titled 'Heiligtum' or Sanctury from a local travetive. This is now set against the back drop of a woodland on the edge of the town and forms part of a large sculpture trail taking in both the new work made in 2000 and the sculptures made in 1969/70.
